Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, A-Rod love triangle
The rumors about Madonna and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez beg for a Muckety map.
A-Rod and his wife, Cynthia Rodriguez, are separating, according to the New York Daily News. The split comes amidst infidelity rumors concerning both parties.
A-Rod was linked to Madonna, who has been working hard to combat reports that her marriage to Guy Ritchie was ending, after the Times of London reported that she had retained famed divorce lawyer Fiona Shackleton.
Madonna’s publicist explained that both Madonna and Rodriguez are managed by Guy Oseary, and that was the only connection between the two.
Madonna was once linked to singer Lenny Kravitz, who co-wrote her 1990 hit Justify My Love. Kravitz is currently on tour in Europe, where he met up with Cynthia Rodriguez, sparking additional rumors that the two are having an affair.
Kravitz has released a statement that he is strictly friends with Cynthia Rodriguez. Madonna’s publicist has also issued a statement confirming her client’s happy marriage and denying an affair between Madonna and Alex Rodriguez.
Alex and Cynthia Rodriguez were married in 2002 and have two daughters, Natasha, 3, and Ella, who was born on April 21.

Miley Cyrus in YouTube dance-off
While the furor continues over Miley Cyrus’s back-baring photographs, the 15-year-old pop star has become entangled in another online battle: a YouTube dance-off involving Diana Ross, Adam Sandler, Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Bynes and Chris Brown.

Please go here to check for the latest version of Java.Cyrus was challenged to a dance-off by a dance troupe that goes by ACDC (Adam/Chu Dance Crew). The group is led by Jon Chu, who directed the dance flick Step Up 2: The Streets and Adam Sevani who also acted in the film. Chu and company challenged Cyrus and her friend Mandy Jiroux to show off their dance skills in an April 10 video posted on YouTube.
Cyrus & Jiroux, referring to themselves as the M&M Cru, posted their video response to the challenge on their YouTube channel, “The Miley and Mandy Show” on April 13.
In the video, they lip synch to Madonna’s newest single “4 Minutes” and skillfully execute a dance routine, complete with back-up dancers and break dancing. The choreography was done by Teresa Espinosa, who also choreographed Cyrus’s Best of Both World Tour, in which Jiroux is also a dancer. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, the stars of the original movie Step Up, appear in the video with the Cyrus and Jiroux.
Now, their challengers have issued a star-studded response.
ACDC battles back with a seven minute video that features many of Chu’s dancers from his film Step Up 2. Jamal Sims, who choreographed both Step Up 2 and Hairspray, brought in Hairspray co-stars Amanda Bynes, Elijah Kelley and Brittany Snow.
ACDC also recruited the dance troupe Jabbawokeez; the team that swept the competition in this year’s new reality show America’s Best Dance Crew. Fellow reality show contestants Lacey Schwimmer and Hok Kosini from So You Think You Can Dance also appear in the dance battle video.
Kicking up the video’s celeb count even more are Diana Ross, Adam Sandler, Lindsay Lohan, and Chris Brown.
Certainly Cyrus can pull together some more celebrity friends to respond a second time. Will what ACDC calls the “The Biggest Online Dance Battle in YouTube history” continue?

Jay-Z cuts 2 deals – with Live Nation & Beyonce
Jay-Z has had a big week. The rapper is expected to finalize a contract with Live Nation records soon worth $150 million. If that weren’t enough to celebrate, last night he reportedly married his superstar girlfriend, Beyonce Knowles.

Please go here to check for the latest version of Java.A source reports to People magazine that the couple married last night at and celebrated at Jay-Z’s New York penthouse apartment with a small group of family and friends, including Beyonce’s former Destiny’s Child band members and celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin.
Although the couple has yet to confirm their marriage officially, they were spotted last week in Scarsdale, NY obtaining a marriage license.
In addition to paying Jay-Z $25 million up front, Live Nation would also finance his future endeavors, including any talent consulting, clothing lines, tours, albums, and record labels that the rapper would work on in the future. The conglomeration of Jay-Z’s efforts would be labeled Roc Nation. The company would then split future profits with Jay-Z.
Jay-Z is known for his entrepreneurial success outside of the music business. He has made significant achievements in both the fashion and nightlife industries. He founded Roc-a-wear, a clothing line he sold for $204 million last year. He also started his own nightclub, the 40/40 club, which now has locations in New York, Atlanta, and Las Vegas.
Although Jay-Z still owes another album to Def Jam records, where he held the position of president until December 2007, he will be paid $10 million per record by Live Nation. His contract will require three albums from Jay-Z in the next ten years.
This deal will further cement Jay-Z’s departure from his self-proclaimed retirement. In 2003, when he released The Black Album, Jay-Z announced it would be his last studio album. In 2006, he released the album Kingdom Come, which he followed with American Gangster, an album meant to accompany the Denzel Washington film.
Live Nation will ink the long-term deal with Jay-Z even though his last album, American Gangster, did not garner the same success of his previous records, selling about one third the number of records that The Black Album sold. Jay-Z refused to release American Gangster on iTunes because believed the album should be purchased as a whole and not by individual tracks.
This is the third major deal Live Nation has made with a top recording artist. The company signed a similar deal with with Madonna in 2007 and another with U2 earlier this week, worth $120 and $300 million, respectively.
