Joan Fontaine dies

Joan Fontaine has died at age 96.

The actress won an Oscar for her performance in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Suspicion,” and was nominated for two others, in “Rebecca” and “The Constant Nymph.”

Fontaine married and divorced four times.

She was the younger sister of an other Academy Award winner, Olivia de Havilland. The two had refused to speak to each other for decades.
